I was born into a Christian household and have grown up in the same house for my entire life.  I live with both parents and three younger brothers and we are all very close.  I love pink, green, turtles, and am very much a people person. I played volleyball throughout high school, but didn't play basketball even though I'm almost six feet tall.  I try to never let myself become bored because I have the Bible and will ever be finished reading it.  Singing worship songs is something I could do all day, and I absolutely love that God teaches me many lessons.

In my sophomore year of high school, I traveled down to Mexico Caravan Ministries for a weekend trip with our church's high school group.  It was an eye-opening trip and I felt very challenged to live differently.  Coming home, I let that fire fade and as time went on, I completely forgot about missions.  We came my junior year and my senior year as well.  This past February, my senior year, some of the interns from my first trip were at Caravan.  It was an immense reminder of the first trip I went on and, on the last day of our trip, I prayed hard.  I left Caravan and tried to figure out a way to attend a private university.  There was no way I was going to be able to unless God provided, and He didn't in this case, which I believe is a great thing.  He provided conviction instead.  Mexico Caravan Ministries kept popping up in my head as well as my mom's.  I kept making attempts at my own plans instead of God's.  God wanted me at Caravan and He showed that to me.  I got accepted and came down four days after graduation.
