Crossroads Wesleyan Monday

Hello friends & family!
We arrived safe & sound Sunday afternoon after an uneventful drive (we saw SO many cars in the ditch from the snow & even followed a police "pace" car for several miles) to Denver, flight to San Diego & ride across the border into Tijuana.
Last night we ate at Renes Tacos. Yum! Brad took a bite of a grilled jalepeno & we wondered if he was going to need CPR after, but otherwise the meal was fabulous! We were able to try the rice milk drink & coca-cola. We're convinced we'll be spoiled from the coca-cola here.
Each day we'll get up at 6:30, have until 7:00 to ready ourselves for the day. Then it's personal devotion time until 7:30. After we meet as a group for breakfast we'll hear from different speakers. Today we were blessed by hearing Eddie Passmore's message & convicted about becoming more world-mission minded.
After praying for several people-groups from other countries, we loaded the last of the supplies onto the truck & headed to Maria's to build a 2nd shelter for her family.
What a blessing to meet & get to know her, her 2 sons (10 & 13) & her brother. She was a gracious host & fed us an amazing lunch. I thought about how my own sons (Hunter & Parker) would have enjoyed meeting her sons. I've also thought many times how I wish I would have paid more attention in Spanish class so I was more confident speaking to the nationals.
After returning to the dorm around 2:30, some of our group helped the staff continue tearing off the existing roofing on the dorm. Now we're exhausted & possibly ready for an early night. Will they really make us stay up until lights out at 11:00?
Tomorrow the men will work on the dormitory roof while the women will have the opportunity to shop at the "garage sales" for Maria's family.
Things are going very well here & we are talking often about who of you we need to convince to come with us here next time. So, be aware, if you're reading this you're probably on our list.
Thank you for your prayers. Continue to pray for our safety & for us to have open hearts to allow God to work within us.
Blessings from the Crossroads Wesleyan Church team.
