Grace Chapel Day Four

Greetings from Mexico, this is Andy again. I am gonna keep this short because it is late and I am very tired. Today we heard Brad Buser talk about making our life fall in line with God’s plan, instead of thinking that we are allowed to make our own plans. Then we worked with Spectrum ministries for the day. After enjoying an amazing meal that was prepared by one of the office ladies, we heard from Tyler and Sam, then Frank Grubbs from World Vision. This week has been fantastic and I am very excited to see it how it continues to impact the kids after we come home.

Grace Chapel Day Three

Hello everybody, it’s Andy again. I just want to tell you that our trip is going fantastic, the kids are doing great, and we are all really excited for what the Lord has in store for us tomorrow and the rest of the week. Tonight after we ate dinner Jeremy assigned the group into 3 person teams and gave each of them a chapter of the Bible to teach on, so that we could all share from the Bible with each other. The original intent was that everyone would go for five minutes, but after the first group delivered a 35 minute sermon we decided to end early and put off the other groups until later because of time constraints. I personally think that is a great problem to have and I am excited to see what it is the kids learn from the passages that they study. (James Mullen thought it was a terrible because he didn’t get to share and he was really excited to, so we told him that he could go first tomorrow). Tomorrow we will be going to Spectrum ministries after hearing from Brad Buser, so knowing that I have a full day ahead of me tomorrow I am going to go ahead and turn in for the night. Please enjoy what Courtney Brown wrote earlier tonight for all you to read.

Grace Chapel Day Two

Greetings from Mexico, this is Andy again. I just wanted to update you a little on the trip. House building is going just fine and the kids are having a blast. They are pretty tired after today, so they should sleep well tonight. Keep praying for them, not only that they would remain rested and healthy, but also that they would be attentive to the Holy Spirit.

Today we heard from Dave Burdette in the morning  meeting and Paul Gervasi in the evening meeting. Dave and Paul both shared their testimonies with the group and then challenged them from the Word; Dave challenged us to listen to the counsel of God and not the world, while Paul talked about just what kind of person it is that God chooses to use to accomplish his purposes.

Hey everyone, this is Andy your friendly Grace Chapel Intern. I apologize for their not being a post for you to read last night, my computer decided to delete everything that James and Ashley wrote before I could save post it. Every day this week there will be two students who post about their experiences and what has impacted them, so keep reading each day and you will have a pretty accurate picture of what we’ve been doing this week. That is pretty much all I have to say for today, so enjoy tonight’s student posts by Carley Waters and Logan Alesso.

Greetings From Grace Chapel

Sorry that this is the first blog but it has been a busy couple of days.  We have just completed 2 days of building which means 4 houses have gone up and more importantly, 4 families have been blessed. God has been richly providing for us everyday from the amazingly cool weather to even more amazing families to love on and serve. Everything could not be going any smoother! We have been sharing the dorm with groups from Canada and South Dakota and they have been great. Tomorrow we build 2 more houses and then on Thursday we join Eddie Passmore's  son Aaron at Spectrum...we are all excited! The kids have really been amazing...we are all very proud of their attitudes.  Continue to pray for  our youth as God has definitely been speaking through the amazing men that have shared so far.

Until we update again.
